Congresswoman Linda Sánchez Endorses Kendrick Meek for Congress
Sánchez Hails Meek as Leader Who Will Lower Costs and Help Fix Broken Immigration System
Miami, FL
Today, Congresswoman Linda Sánchez of California, former Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, officially endorsed Kendrick Meek for Congress in Florida’s 24th Congressional District.
“I know firsthand that dedication to public service is woven into the very fabric of Kendrick’s life,” Congresswoman Sánchez said. “Right now, working families across the country and in South Florida are facing immense economic pressures. Kendrick has spent his career fighting for economic dignity on the ground, and I know he will go to Washington to lower costs, protect hard-earned wages, and give families the relief they desperately need,” Congresswoman Sánchez continued. “Furthermore, Kendrick has the backbone needed to fight to fix our broken immigration system, ensuring we create a fair, humane, and orderly process that honors our values. He is exactly the kind of fearless, next-generation leader we need in Washington to help Democrats win back the majority and deliver real results.”
Congresswoman Sánchez’s endorsement brings the powerful backing of one of the nation's leading champions for working families and comprehensive immigration reform. As a veteran legislator and the first Latina to serve on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, Sánchez has dedicated her career to lowering the cost of living and advocating for systemic immigration overhauls.
“Receiving the endorsement of Congresswoman Linda Sánchez—a relentless fighter for working people and a trailblazing voice for immigration reform—is a tremendous honor,” Kendrick Meek said. “South Florida families are tired of the same old political games while the cost-of-living skyrockets and our immigration system remains broken. They want leadership that knows how to push back, build coalitions, and win real results.”
Florida’s 24th Congressional District spans across the heart of northern Miami-Dade and southern Broward counties.
